Breaking all stereotypes and fighting the patriarchy, Anita Deora from the Bhopalgarh area of Jodhpur district has brought laurels to her family and district by clearing the UPSC Civil Services exam this time. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Civil Services 2025 examination final result on March 6. Anita Deora has secured the 644th rank in the UPSC final results.

Talking to local media, Anita thanked her family and other supporters for their constant support in clearing what is believed to be one of the toughest exams of the world. She also specifically thanked her mother for helping her break out of the patriarchal setup. "One main person whom I have to thank is my mother. My village has a patriarchal setup where everyone is scared of sending their daughters to school, but my mother believed in me and stood up for me. She said my daughter will study, and will study till the level she wants to. My family's strong will helped me achieve this today," she said.

Candidates who appeared in the examination can now check their results and download them in PDF format by visiting the commission's official website, i.e.,upsc.gov.in, orupsconline.gov.in. The result document will mention the names of the candidates who have been selected for appointment in Indian civil services.

This time, Anuj Agnihotri has topped the government exam and achieved AIR 1, followed by Rajeshwari Suve M at AIR 2 and Akansh Dhull at AIR 3. In 2025, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service; and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

As per PIB report, a total of 9,37,876 candidates applied for this examination, out of which 5,76,793 candidates actually appeared in the examination. Following that, a total of 14,161 candidates qualified for appearance in the Written (Main) Examination which was held in August, 2025. Of these, a total of 2,736 candidates qualified for the Personality Test of the examination. Now, a total of 958 candidates (659 men and 299 women) have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various Services.
