GS Global held a blood donation campaign at its Seoul headquarters on Wednesday to help stabilize the blood supply.
The event was organized to support medical institutions struggling with winter blood shortages and promote the value of life-saving donations.
Employees, including GS Global CEO Kim Sung-won, voluntarily participated in the campaign, which was held aboard a Korean Red Cross mobile blood donation bus stationed in front of the company’s headquarters.
Blood donation is one of the most direct ways to help patients in need of transfusions. A single donation can save up to three lives through component separation.
Participants received blood donation certificates along with small gifts, including coffee coupons and snack vouchers.
“Blood donation is one of the warmest forms of giving that anyone can take part in,” a GS Global official said. “We hope this campaign will help further foster a culture of sharing life in the local community, and we will continue to carry out meaningful corporate social responsibility activities.”
In addition to blood donation drives, GS Global has carried out various social contribution programs, including support for underprivileged communities and scholarships for high school students.
