The Rams are locking up a key part of their secondary.

Just days before the start of free agency the club has agreed to terms on a new contract with safety Kam Curl.

A seventh-round pick by the Commanders in 2020, Curl has developed into a big cog of the Rams defense the last two seasons, accumulating 201 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and 14 pass breakups.

His new deal will pay him $36 million over three years and can top out at $39 million.

TheRams have acted swiftlyto solidify their secondary ahead of free agency, with Curl agreeing to terms just two days after theytraded for Chiefs Pro Bowl cornerback Trent McDuffie.
