This follows earlier incidents in Dearborn. Lang was assaulted during an August 2 religious procession while using a bullhorn, leading to arrests. In previous visits he attempted Quran burnings, used bacon in provocations, and spoke at council meetings. Supporters showed up with private security talk while counter groups and residents gathered.
