New Delhi:Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Dr Saeed Khatibzadeh said his country is trying to avoid a spill over to other areas. He even accused Israel’s Mossad of carrying out false-flag operations in the Middle East. Khatibzadeh made these remarks while speaking at a conference on geopolitics in Delhi. He termed the Middle East conflict as "existential war" for Iran
Khatibzadeh Accuses Israel Of Conducting 'False Flag Operations':
“We are trying to avoid a spillover to other areas. I am sure you are hearing about false-flag operations by Mossad and by Israelis to attack refineries or even Cyprus,” Deputy Israeli FM stated at the conference.
Khatibzadeh also said that even the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer had said that the attacks on oil refineries were not originated from Iran.
“Tucker Carlson also said that two or multiple Mossad groups were captured in Saudi Arabia and Qatar while trying to do false-flag operations in those countries. While, we have no such intention, and we are trying to avoid the conflict spilling over to other areas.,” he added.
The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister also termed thecurrent conflictbetween the US-Israel and Iran as an "existential war." "While I do understand why our friends in the region are so upset about that, this is an existential war, and it is a war for everyone," he stated.
Khamenei's Death 'Unprecedented':
Talking about Khamenei’s death in the US-Israel strikes on Iran on February 28, Khatibzadeh termed it an “unprecedented” development.

“When they assassinate the head of another state...Should a head of state be targeted when there are problems between countries? This is unprecedented. If this is the new norm, then it is very dangerous,” he added.
