Iran has struck theAli Al-Salem Air Baseagain on Friday, targeting the facility that hosts the United States Air Force’s 386th Air Expeditionary Wing. Black smoke was seen rising near the US Base in Kuwait City after fresh Iranian attacks swept across theGulf.

The United States earlier announced it was closing its embassy in Kuwait following retaliatory Iranian strikes, as the widening conflict in the West Asia began directly affecting Gulf capitals.

Iran has launched multiple waves of missiles and drones at the American-allied Gulf state since the war began, further escalating tensions across the region.

On Sunday, an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait killed six U.S. soldiers after an unmanned aircraft breached air defences and hit a military operations site, according to U.S. officials.

Following the attack, the US Embassy urged the public to stay away from the facility, citing ongoing threats. It warned people not to approach the compound due to “a continuing threat of missile and UAV (drone) attacks over Kuwait."
