The war involving Iran, the United States, and Israel has entered its seventh day, with the conflict rapidly expanding across West Asia and drawing in multiple countries.

The hostilities began on February 28 after coordinated US-Israeli strikes on Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, triggering widespread retaliation from Tehran and its allies.

Below are the top developments from the conflict.

US STRIKES INTENSIFY EVEN AS IRANIAN ATTACKS DROP

The United States has escalated its military campaign against Iran even as Iranian missile and drone attacks have significantly declined.

Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of US Central Command, said Iranian ballistic missile attacks have dropped by around 90 per cent, while drone attacks have decreased by 83 per cent since the war began.

At the same time, US forces have stepped up their operations against Iran’s naval and missile infrastructure.

According to Cooper, US forces have sunk more than 30 Iranian ships, including a large drone carrier vessel that is currently burning after being struck.

The US military has also used heavy bomber aircraft, including B-2 bombers, to strike deeply buried missile launch facilities and weapons sites across Iran.

Officials said dozens of 2,000-pound bunker-penetrating bombs have been dropped on Iranian missile launchers and military infrastructure over the past few days.
