The ongoing US-Israel-Iran war has only escalated in the last few days. After the United States and Israel launched a preemptive attack on Iran, there have been rising tensions across the Middle East. Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, lost his life in the war, too. Following his demise, many Shia Muslims expressed grief over his loss. However, some even celebrated his death. Now, in an exclusive chat withZoom,Mandana Karimi, who hails from Iran, reacted to Khamenei's death and spoke about the condition of women there.
Speaking exclusively to us, Mandana revealed that every Iranian woman that she has known of, has had some problem or 'personal incident' with the former Iran supreme leader's regime. "As a woman in Iran, you have no right to free speech, what you can wear and what you cannot wear. The education system for women, there are certain areas as a woman you cannot study those majors," claimed Mandana.
The actress, who was a part ofBigg Boss 9, further revealed that the legal age for marriage in Iran is 'very low'. She stated that women don't have right to divorce when they get married. "If I'm not mistaken, it is 9 years, and you can actually get married. As a woman, you have a tough life in Iran," she added. Mandana admitted that she was affected by Khamenei's regime to an extent where at the age of 18, she felt that she can't do it anymore.
Apart discussing the state of women in Iran, Mandana reacted to thedemise of Ali Khamenei. "His (Ali Khamenei) passing has made many people happy, especially Iranian women. We have been oppressed by him for so many years. The orders of mass murdering our people have been done by him. I actually don't want to talk about him. I hope Khamenei b*rns in hell," she said.
