August 11th, 2026 - Bronx, NY: At approximately 10:11 p.m. firefighters responded to the area of W. 183rd St and Jerome Ave for a 2nd alarm fire that police believe may have been intentionally set.
The fire left one store employee with severe burns to the face and body when he momentarily found himself trapped in the inferno until a friend was able to find him and pull him out. The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition.
