Opposition lawmakers threw eggs at acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti during a parliamentary session in Pristina, Kosovo on Saturday.
The session was convened to constitute Kosovo's parliament following the June 7 snap election. The incident occurred after Kurti asked the Assembly speaker for additional time to negotiate a political agreement with opposition parties, a request that was approved.
The session was convened by the winning party, Vetevendosje, despite objections from opposition parties and constitutional law experts who argued it was unconstitutional, saying the 30-day deadline set by the Constitutional Court had expired on Friday.
