New Delhi:Amid the ongoing Iran-Israel-US and Ukraine-Russia wars, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's commitment to global peace. PM Modi said that military conflicts are not solution to any issue. The Prime Minister also stressed that conflicts should be resolved through diplomacy instead of military operations.
PM Modi made these remarks during a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. "Both India and Finland believe in the rule of law, dialogue, and diplomacy. We are unanimous that military conflict alone cannot resolve any issue. Whether in Ukraine or West Asia, we will continue to support every effort for a speedy end to the conflict and peace," the Prime Minister stated.
"We also agree that reforming global institutions is not only necessary but urgent to address growing global challenges, and that eradicating terrorism in all its forms is our shared commitment," he added.

Finland President Praised PM Modi:
Meanwhile, Stubb praised PM Modi for his diplomatic skills and said that India and Finland share same values. "I salute your diplomatic skills when you say that we stand here as two big democracies. There is one big and one slightly smaller, but I think the key message is that we share values... I just saw on the streets of New Delhi, and I will most probably see a lot in Mumbai in a couple of days, which is palpable," he stated.
"This is an economic miracle that we're witnessing... I arrived yesterday in the middle of Holi, and I was able to escape some of the colour attacks that were coming at me, but it was a great experience as such," he added.
Tensions escalated in West Asia after the United States and Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, killing its top leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks against Israel and US military bases in the Gulf countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. On Thursday, Iran launched a new wave of attacks at Israeli and American bases after the US Navy sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena on Tuesday night in the Indian Ocean, killing at least 87 Iranian sailors.
