A Russian oligarch linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s child trafficking ring has been found dead in Moscow, just weeks after his name surfaced in documents recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Umar Dzhabrailov, a Chechen businessman and former Russian senator, once described Epstein’s convicted sex trafficking accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell as his “soulmate.”
Dzhabrailov was discovered early Monday morning in a luxury Moscow apartment with a gunshot wound to his head, according to Russian outletKommersant.
He was rushed to the hospital but was found to be brain-dead.

Dzhabrailov later died without regaining consciousness.
Police sources told the outlet the preliminary conclusion is suspected suicide.
Authorities said Dzhabrailov was found lying in a pool of blood at around 3 a.m., and a Luger pistol was recovered at the scene.
