While our American hockey heroes brought home GOLD for the United States, what did the Times focus on? Fawning praise for Eileen Gu, the American-born skier who betrayed her own country to compete for the Chinese Communist Party.
The Times gushed over Gu as a "cosmopolitan" athlete, painting her defection to an authoritarian regime as somehow sophisticated and worldly. Meanwhile, they couldn't hide their disdain for the red-blooded American patriots who actually won gold while representing the Stars and Stripes.
This isn't journalism, folks – it's propaganda. The same outlet that spent four years attacking President Trump now slobbers over athletes who choose Communist dictators over American freedom. They call patriotism "nationalism" but celebrate actual collaboration with our greatest enemy.
Think about this: young Americans sacrificed everything to bring glory to our nation on the world stage. They trained for years, competed with honor, and won gold for Team USA. But the Times thinks the real story is praising someone who chose China's blood money over American values.
Under President Trump's leadership, we're finally putting America First again. But the legacy media can't stand it. They'd rather celebrate those who literally compete for our enemies than honor the heroes who make us proud to be Americans.
