The Suffolk Theater, Mark “MK” McLaughlin and the Riverhead Lions Club present the third annual Black History on Screen: Media Mavens, an evening honoring Emmy Award-winning journalist Thema Ponton of News 12 Long Island, on Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Suffolk.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 7 p.m. The event includes special guest panelists, a screening of the documentary “Mr. SOUL!” by Melissa Haizlip, and a Q&A. Tickets: $10
