Trump Announced He's Honoring USA Goalie Connor Hellebuyck with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

At least he sought the opinions and reccomendation of the team as a whole before deciding to award him.Though I have never aggreed with awarding the M.o.F. to any sports figure for doing what they are paid to do. ( even if Olympians are not directly paid)JFK started this in 1963 (I remember it and my parents stating their opinions about it).I think it trivializes the award as that medal should be awarded to those civilians who do a major contribution to promoting the freedoms we have because of us being a republic nation.
