Tom Brady’s presence loomsso large in the Raiders’ facilities, one Las Vegas player actually referred to the former NFL quarterback as a team “overseer.”
Darnay Holmes didn’t try to sugarcoat the matter when talking aboutBrady’s role within the Raiders’organization during a sitdown interview with The California Post last week, saying he believes the future Hall of Famer has his fingerprints all overLas Vegas’ franchise.
“He has a steep presence within that building,” Holmes said of Brady. “When you’ve got a great as a minority owner, you’re going to utilize him. I feel like we’re digging deep in that well that he has.”

Holmes said Brady has given team speeches before that were so animated, he left the meeting with a notepad that “was filled from the conversation that he brought to the table.”
Holmes — a 27-year-old defensive back who’s played in 29 games for the Raiders over the last two seasons — also said Brady’s made sure some of the things that made him successful as a player are readily available to the current team, such as a therapist and a nutritionist.
Perhaps most importantly, Holmes said, Brady’s also made himself easily accessible to players.
“He’s just the overseer,” Holmes said. “You see him in the building. You can break bread with him at lunch. And when he’s on that field, you make sure that you’re locked in with your technique because you’ve got one of the greats watching you.”
Brady’s bid to buy a minority stake in the Raiders was approved in October 2024, and his role has seemingly increased in each month that’s passed by since.
In fact, during the Raiders’ press conference Tuesday to introduce Klint Kubiak as their next head coach, Kubiak said the seven-time Super Bowl champion was very involved in his interview process.
