AUGUST 1, 2026 Queens, NY – At approximately 1:33 am police responded to a 911 call for a pedestrian struck near 57th Avenue and 99th Street, according to police.
A woman was struck by a vehicle believed to be a Ford Escape and was transported by EMS to Forest Hills Hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene, according to police.
