President Donald Trump gave Justice Amy Coney Barrett the cold shoulder as he entered the chamber to deliver his State of the Union Address this week.
President Trump shook ACB’s hand, but did not give her any time. This comes after she, once again, voted with Democrats, this time against President Trump’s economic tariffs.
In a 6-3 decision, Barrett and Gorsuch joined the high court’s three liberal justices and Chief Justice John Roberts in ruling against the president’s use of an emergency statute to execute the strategy core to his economic agenda.
Trump announced 15% tariffs following the SCOTUS decision.
