Wolstenholme will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of Inspire’s casino business and leading its mid- to long-term growth plans, the company said. His role will also include strengthening operational processes and reinforcing the resort’s market positioning as Korea expands its integrated resort sector.

Wolstenholme previously served as president and chief executive officer of Hoiana Resort & Golf in Vietnam and as president of Okada Manila in the Philippines. His career spans the full lifecycle of large-scale integrated resort projects, from development and opening to stabilized operations.

Earlier in his career, Wolstenholme served as chief operating officer at Galaxy Macau, where he led organizational reforms during the global financial crisis, and as president of the Grand Sierra Resort in Nevada, where he improved operating profitability in just over two years, according to Inspire.

He is widely regarded in the industry for his expertise in casino operations, governance and financial management, as well as his experience across broader integrated resort segments, including hotels, meetings and exhibitions, food and beverage, retail and entertainment.

“As Inspire continues to establish itself in Asia’s integrated resort market, Steven’s global experience and leadership will be instrumental in guiding our casino operations and long-term growth,” the company said in a statement.

Wolstenholme said he looked forward to working with Inspire’s management and employees to further develop the resort’s casino business.

“Building on the operational experience I’ve gained over more than 30 years in the global integrated resort industry, I look forward to contributing to Inspire’s continued growth,” he said.

Inspire, located near Incheon International Airport, opened as Korea’s first large-scale integrated entertainment resort and has positioned itself as a destination combining gaming, entertainment and hospitality.
