U.S. Central Command says it has carried out a major wave of airstrikes against targets in Iran. CENTCOM says the strikes were launched after attempted Iranian missile attacks on American forces in the Middle East. CENTCOM says more than 50,000 U.S. service members remain deployed across the Middle East and are on high alert. The Senate Judiciary Committee delayed a vote on Todd Blanches’ nomination for U.S. Attorney General that was schedule for Thursday morning. That’s after Senators Thom Tillis and John Cornyn expressed concerns are Trump’s anti-weaponization fund. Chairman Chuck Grassley said he’s working on a solution but unclear if that will come to conclusion before august recess set to start. Ukrainian officials say Russia launched one of its largest air attacks on Ukraine overnight, citing more than 70 missiles and around 280 drones, killing 8 people. Russia says it targeted military facilities, but Ukraine says residential buildings, schools and other civilian sites were hit.
