July 29, 2026 MANHATTAN, New York - Police and FDNY responded just before 9am to a collision between two bicyclists and a vehicle that resulted in one fatality near City Hall at Chambers St & Centre St in the Lower Manhattan, New York.
According to police, a 17-year-old bicyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a collision with the 40-year-old driver of a 2008 black Chevrolet Tahoe. The two were both traveling northbound on Centre Street when the collision occurred, and the teen was pronounced dead at the scene, cops said.
The driver of the SUV remained at the crash location for the police investigation.
