The Democratic Party just showed America exactly who they are by selecting Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger to deliver their official response to President Trump's State of the Union address. And patriots, this choice tells you everything you need to know about where the Left wants to take this country.
Spanberger ran for governor as a supposed "moderate" — but that was nothing more than a Trojan Horse to smuggle radical left-wing policies into the Commonwealth. Now that she's in office, the mask has come completely off.
Let's start with the basics: During her time in Congress, Spanberger voted with Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi a staggering 99% of the time. She even said she was "proud" to work with Biden — the same president whose disastrous policies led to 40-year-high inflation that crushed American families.
Spanberger voted for every single inflationary spending bill that drove up the cost of gas, groceries, and rent. The so-called "Inflation Reduction Act"? She was all in — even though it supersized the IRS and made life more expensive for working Americans. The $1.9 trillion "American Rescue Plan" that kicked off Biden's inflation nightmare? Spanberger proudly voted yes.
On her very first day as Governor, Spanberger ended Virginia's agreement with ICE that allowed state police and corrections officers to assist federal immigration enforcement. She opposes the border wall, voted for sanctuary cities, and supports mass amnesty with taxpayer benefits for illegal aliens.
When asked about cooperating with ICE to remove criminal aliens from Virginia communities, Spanberger dismissed it as just a "distraction." Tell that to the families of victims of illegal alien crime.
She even refused to call on Virginia's Democrat Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine to stop fighting for healthcare for illegal aliens during a government shutdown — putting foreign lawbreakers ahead of American citizens.
Here's where it gets even more disturbing. Spanberger is a radical on gender ideology, supporting policies that allow biological males in girls' sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms. When pressed on whether men should be allowed in K-12 girls' bathrooms and sports teams, she couldn't even give a straight answer.
Even worse? She supports allowing schools to hide a child's transgender identity from their own parents. So much for parental rights.
While President Trump pursues energy dominance with "drill, baby, drill," Spanberger wants to make Virginia dependent on unreliable power sources. Her radical energy agenda could cost each Virginian nearly $3,500 a year in higher utility bills.
