July 26th, 2026 - Bronx, NY: At approximately 12:37 a.m., officers from the 43rd Precinct responded to the area of 173rd St. and Ward Ave. for two males, a 23-yr-old and 18-yr-old, shot. The 23-yr-old suffered a gunshot wound to the left shoulder while the 18-yr-old was shot in the left arm.
Both victims were taken to an area hospital in stable condition. The 18-yr-old was taken to hospital via police car.
During the initial response, police were met by large crowd that reportedly threw airmail and escalated the response to a level 2 with arrest made.
