Maine Democrats selected former state Senate President Troy Jackson on Saturday as their party’s nominee to challenge incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins. Jackson replaced Graham Platner as the Democratic nominee at the Maine Democrats’ convention in Bangor.
A grand jury indicted Democratic Hawaii Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke in a corruption investigation. Luke is one of five charged in this investigation carried out by state Attorney General Anne Lopez.
