SpaceX's Starship megarocket lifted off from Starbase, Texas on Friday night, following an aborted launch attempt last week in which several engines failed to ignite at liftoff. The one-hour test flight ended with a controlled splashdown of the upper Starship spacecraft in the Indian Ocean. The Super Heavy rocket booster, which detached from Starship two minutes into flight, had already splashed down in the Gulf. This flight marks the second test for this version of Starship, called V3.
