July 24, 2026 MADISON, Wisconsin - Hundreds of protesters marched through Madison after Corey Ruiz, 38, was shot and killed Wednesday by police, who said he resisted arrest and injured an officer with a knife.
In one moment, an anti-police protester confronted diners along the route, shouting "Fkn pig!" as the crowd of hundreds passed. In a separate incident, protesters surrounded a woman's car, blocking her from driving; on our footage, the woman tells the crowd, "I wanna be part of this." In another moment, a speaker addressed the marchers, saying, "We've been spending our lives fighting to live."
