A leaked audio recording of an expletive-laden conversation promising violence, from a decade ago has laid bare the chilling grip of Nemesio Ruben Oseguera, aka ‘El Mencho, over local law enforcement in Mexico.
El Mencho, who was captured and killed in a military operation on February 22, was the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
This purported audio clip from 2016, which could not be independently verified byNews18, has resurfaced following El Mencho’s death, capturing a moment of raw intimidation where he is heard forcing a high-ranking police officer into total submission. It reveals a furious Nemesio Oseguera demanding that security forces “relax" and withdraw from their positions immediately.
“Look here you son of a b****, it’s Mencho you d******. You better tell your f****** people to leave us alone… Get your f****** men to fall back or I’m going to f*** you up and your whole squad. I have 30 of you f****** located and identified. I’ll even kill your f****** dogs if you don’t chill out bro. What do you think about that?" Oseguera is purportedly heard saying in the clip, which went viral on social media.
