Former princeAndrew Mountbatten-Windsorhas once again found himself defended in public, this time by his former girlfriend, Lady Victoria Hervey.
Speaking onPiers Morgan Uncensored, the British socialite criticised the publication of photographs taken as Andrew left a police station following his widely reported arrest on 19 February and questioned how far public scrutiny should go.
Her remarks, including a comparison to the late television presenter Caroline Flack, have prompted renewed interest in her background and her long-standing defence of the former Royal.
During the broadcast, Hervey criticised photographers who captured Andrew as he exited the police station following his arrest.
'First of all, I think that the photographer, you know, taking a photo like that, I think that is shameful,' she said. 'Someone in Andrew's position, having just left the police station... you're obviously hiding from the photographers. Of course, you're going to have a red eye, and it's going to look bad.'
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's ex-girlfriend Lady Victoria Hervey is unhinged. She criticised the photographer who took that picture of him leaving the police station & she's saying that we should think about his mental health just in case he commits suicide like Caroline Flack.pic.twitter.com/gGl3W1IRmd
She described what she called a 'gleeful' public reaction as 'sick' and 'deranged,' before asking, 'At what point is this going to stop? Is this going to be like that girl from Love Island that they went after, and she finally killed herself? How far is this going to go?'
Andrew was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of misconduct in public office in relation to the recently released batch ofEpstein Files. He was later released under investigation.
Lady Victoria Frederica Isabella Hervey was born in 1976 and is the eldest daughter of Victor Hervey, the 6th Marquess of Bristol. Her early years were marked by both privilege and instability.
