In a fresh twist in the allegedgang-rapecase linked to a Jakkur villa party in Bengaluru, one of the accused has filed a prior complaint alleging an extortion attempt by the 19-year-old college student, who was allegedlydrugged and sexually assaulted by two men on Valentine's Dayat a party the woman was invited to. According to police, the accused in his FIR dated February 21 claimed that the survivor, along with a person who introduced himself as Imran from a regional news channel, demanded money and threatened to air defamatory content if the payment was not made.

Police sources told Times Now that this complaint was lodged a day before the survivor approached authorities with allegations of sexual assault against Dixon Sando and Nikhil.

The teenager, a first-year student of psychology and journalism at a private college in Bengaluru, is a native of Tamil Nadu and mentioned in her complain that she was in love with one of the accused, identified as Dixon (20), originally from West Bengal. The two met through social media nearly a month before the incident and were in regular touch after that. According to the complaint, the woman was invited to a party at the villa on the night of February 14. The 19-year-old stated when she reached the party, she found Dixon with another woman, after which she insisted on leaving multiple times, but the second accused, 35-year-old Nikhil, confiscated her phone and forced her to stay.

The survivor alleged she was given a pill that made her feel dizzy, after which she was taken to a basement room and gang-raped by both men. The student alleged that the two men habitually manipulate women, drugging them with pills to facilitate sexual assault. She added that they are influential individuals, which she believes has deterred others from speaking out against them.

Investigators are now probing both the sexual assault allegations and the counter-claim of extortion to establish the sequence of events.
