Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Monday sparked widespread debate online after making a brief comment about Jesus Christ on his social media platform, X.

The discussion began when a user on X wrote, “Someone needs to evangelize Elon Musk. Who will lead him to Christ?". The post was shared on February 28.

The tech billionaire responded shortly afterwards, writing, “I agree with the teachings of Jesus."

The simple remark quickly drew mixed reactions across the platform. Some users welcomed the statement, saying it showed Musk was becoming more open about faith. Others, however, began speculating about whether the comment hinted at a larger announcement or personal revelation.

One user wrote, “Something really, really bad is about to come out about him," suggesting the post could be linked to a possible controversy. Another user responded that whenever someone appreciates the teachings of Jesus on compassion and truth, cynics assume it is an attempt to cover up a scandal.

Several users encouraged Musk to go further in his spiritual journey. One wrote, “It’s a good start, Elon. God is pulling on your heart and placed your ambitions, talent and dreams inside of you for a bigger purpose."

Another commented that agreeing with Jesus’ teachings was only a beginning and that true faith required complete belief and surrender.

“It is not enough to simply agree with the teachings of Jesus, but you must SURRENDER yourself to Him and BELIEVE on Him completely to be SAVED. I really hope and pray you get there, sincerely," the comment read.
