A CCTV video has emerged showing heavily armed members of a Mexican drug cartel storming a gas station and setting it on fire.
The footage has gone viral on social media, thoughNews18has not been able to independently verify it. The exact date and location of the incident are also unknown.
The 31-second clip shows four masked men arriving in a white car. Two gas station workers and a customer are visible in the footage. The armed men step out of the car, point their guns at the workers and the customer, and force them away.

Seconds later, two of the men use a petrol pipe to spray fuel across the area. One of the men then lights the petrol, setting the station ablaze before fleeing the scene.

The incident comesamid escalating violence in Mexicofollowing the death of Nemesio “El Mencho" Oseguera, 59, the leader of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).
Oseguera, who had a $15 million US bounty on his head, was killed in a military shoot-out in Tapalpa, Jalisco state. Six suspected cartel gunmen were also killed, and three soldiers were wounded, according to the Mexican army.
Two cartel suspects were arrested, and a variety of weapons were seized, including rocket launchers capable of downing aircraft and destroying armoured vehicles.
CJNG, founded by Oseguera in 2009, has become one of the most violent drug cartels in Mexico, rivalled only by the Sinaloa cartel. His death is considered one of the most significant blows to a Mexican drug lord since the capture of Sinaloa founders JoaquÃn “El Chapo" Guzmán and Ismael Zambada, both now serving prison terms in the United States.
