In another incident of road rage, a 25-year-old youth allegedly drove a car into a family of four following a dispute over parking near the Housing Board residential area inTamil Nadu'sHosur city. As the scuffle escalated, the youth allegedly drove his car into an assistant labour inspector, K Sivamoorthy, who died on the spot, while his family, including three people, were injured, according to a TOI report.

The altercation began over two-wheelers parked in front of his house on Sunday night. The Hosur police stated that it all started when a youth driving a car repeatedly honked after seeing two-wheelers parked in front of Sivamoorthy's house.

Sivamoothy, his son Kirubakaran, Kirubakaran's wife and their 6-month-old child came out of the house after hearing the fight. When they attempted to take the two-wheeler, an argument ensued between the youth and Sivamoorthy's family.

The youth, out of anger, picked up a stick lying on the ground and tried to attack Sivamoothy and his family, TOI reported.

As it escalated, the youth allegedly drove his car into all four, including the infant. "Sivamoorthy, Kirubakaran and Amsaveni were seriously injured, while the baby suffered minor injuries," the officer said.

As neighbours noticed the argument, they intervened and rescued the injured and took them to the Hosur Government Hospital. Sivamoorthy died on the way, while the rest of the family is being treated at the hospital.
