Just a week after the Bangladesh elections and the formation of a new BNP government, an incident of violence has been reported from Chandpur.
A 25-year-old Hindu woman, who is physically handicapped, was allegedly abducted and gang-raped. The incident took place on Sunday night.
According to reports, the woman was abducted from a kirtan. She was later gang-raped by three men. The victim is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
The woman has identified the accused. However, they have not yet been arrested.
