Stefon Diggs woke up on Monday to find 50 Cent had turned his worst weekend into a punchline. The Patriots wide receiver was still processing a lopsided 29-13Super Bowlloss to the Seattle Seahawks when the rapper posted a photo of Diggs and Cardi B toInstagram, captioning it: 'Can you imagine waking up this morning and you done lost this b--h and the Super Bowl. I would tell everybody to get away from me, have a drink, and go back to sleep. LOL,'according to Billboard.
The post went viral within hours. It tagged 50 Cent's cognac brand, because of course it did.
Diggs, 32, had a miserable night at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, managing just three catches for 37 yards on three targets as the Seahawks dominated from start to finish,ESPN confirmed. Sam Darnold carved up the Patriots' defence with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. New England's offence barely functioned. Twenty-six of Diggs' 37 yards came on a single reception with under three minutes left and the game already gone.
That was bad enough. What happened off the pitch made it worse.

Fans clocked it almost immediately after the final whistle. Diggs and Cardi B, 33, had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Both of them. Simultaneously. In celebrity culture, a mutual unfollow on the night of a Super Bowl loss is about as close to a neon breakup sign as two famous people can get without saying it out loud.
Entertainment Tonight went further, citing a source who confirmed the couple had recently split. 'Cardi and Stefon recently broke up, but it's possible they get back together, and this could just be for right now,' the source said. 'She is focused on her upcoming tour and family while figuring out their next steps,'Elle reported.
Neither Diggs nor Cardi has publicly addressed the situation.
The speed of the unravelling is striking. The couple went public at a New York Knicks playoff game in May 2025 and made it Instagram official a month later. Cardi announced her pregnancy on CBS Mornings in September. Their son was born in November. As recently as 2 February, Diggs was asked by reporters whether he planned to propose after winning the Super Bowl. 'It's on the agenda, maybe, right?' he said. 'I gotta get mine first, though,'according to People.
Looking back, signs of trouble were visible before kickoff. At a Fanatics party on 7 February, a reporter asked Cardi for an inspiring message for Diggs. She paused, gave a thin smile, and said two words: 'Good luck.' Then she walked off,Cosmopolitan noted.
