July 11, 2026 HOUSTON, Texas - Hundreds marched through the streets of downtown Houston Saturday evening for the memory and call for justice for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52-year-old, a Mexican National who was fatally shot by ICE agents in Houston’s Magnolia Park neighborhood on the morning of July 7th, 2026. The group marched from City Hall to a downtown Federal facility where they shined lights so detainees inside could see and they chanted in front of the building. Footage also shows two separate interviews with FIEL Director Cesar Espinosa at 2:47 time stamp and Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia at 9:23 time stamp Congresswoman Espinosa joined demonstrators outside Houston City Hall who were there to demand an independent investigation into the fatal shooting of Mr. Araujo by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.
