I was very surprised yesterday to receive a certificate of appreciation from one of the locations where I recently started working. I've only been there a little over a month so this came as quite a shock.
Given decades of advocacy for security officers, starting with myself LOL, I've often been given the boot (reprimands or termination) but rarely certificates.
