Day Eight of the Anti-ICE Protests outside of Delaney Hall ICE Detention Center. This is evening coverage of Protests outside of Delaney Hall. For the 2nd Night in a row, New Jersey State Police were sent to clear the Protesters from the front of the Detention Center. State Police again used Tear Gas, Pepper Spray, and Horses to clear the group. Protesters then set a pile of tires on fire in the street before eventually dispersing. State Police did not retreat as they did the previous night. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In May and early June 2026, after a hunger and labor strike was declared among detainees at the Delaney Hall ICE Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, several weeks of contentious Anti-ICE Protests were held outside of the facility. The situation evolved nearly every day for about 2 weeks, as the protests grew and tactics among protesters and law enforcement changed.
