The United States launched new airstrikes against Iran early Thursday after President Donald Trump said the United States would retaliate against the recent Iranian attacks on ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz. The United States struck multiple Iranian military sites “to further degrade Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping and innocent civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz,” according to an X post by the U.S. Central Command. Trump announced that he will ask the Supreme Court to rehear the case on birthright citizenship after the high court struck down the policy on June 30. The Supreme Court is currently on its annual summer recess, and the justices will begin their next term on Oct. 5. A new report reveals nearly 90 instances of fraud and abuse of federal education tax dollars.
