Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s first Namo Bharat RRTS in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He dedicated the entire Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor and the Meerut Metro (Meerut South-Modipuram) to the nation.
The Prime Minister dedicated projects worth around Rs 12,930 crores.
Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said, “Viksit UP, Viksit Bharat is gaining momentum."
He said the inauguration reflects the double engine commitment of the BJP. He added that projects undertaken during their tenure do not get delayed like they used to earlier.
The Prime Minister said he spoke with students and other passengers during the visit. He said they were amazed to witness the development.
He also said that law and order has become better.
The Prime Minister said the Namo Metro Rail project will benefit nari shakti, as key positions will be given to women.
Hitting out at the opposition, he said, “Let’s fight on development." He added that for his government, the nation’s development has always been the only priority.
