Wilmore failed his state exam on his first attempt, but NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal encouraged him before the exam and even promised him a custom patrol vehicle. Wilmore and his girlfriend have maintained a blessing box outside of the department, which provides food and other essentials to people in need.
