Eisenkot on recruiting the ultra-Orthodox: "I won't say zero students, that's a populist statement"

The chairman of the Yasr! party addressed the issue of recruiting yeshiva students in the Shabbat Square studio, and stated: "I am a Ben-Gurionist, I come with respect to the world of the Torah." The former chief of staff also claimed that the responsibility for integrating the ultra-orthedim into the army rests with the IDF, and strongly opposed the Lieberman outline - which calls for the denial of the right to vote: "damage to democracy."
