Carli Judice scored her third straight win, handily defeating Juliana Miller to open theUFC Houstonprelims on Saturday.

Miller managed to score an early takedown, promptly taking Judice’s back and locking in a body triangle. However, Judice weathered the storm and worked her way back up. After separating herself, Judice turned up the heat, putting pressure on Miller, who was already showing signs of fatigue.

Despite giving up some control time, Judice still outstruck Miller in the opening round.

That trend would continue in the second, as Miller failed on multiple takedown attempts, allowing Judice to take control of theOctagonand piece up her opponent with some nasty straight lefts.

Potentially down 2-0 going into the third and final round, Miller locked in another early takedown and nearly cinched in aneck crankhalfway through the stanza. But just as she did in the first, Judice weathered the storm and fought her way out of the submission attempt.

With time running out, Miller continued to throw hands and fish for takedowns, but her efforts weren’t enough to steal a win on the scorecards.

Official Result: Carli Judice def.Juliana Millervia unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
