Khamzat Chimaevwants to achieve three-division glory in the UFC and says he does not care about compromising his undefeated record in the process.The undefeated Chechen-born Emirati became the UFC middleweight champion last year at UFC 319 by ragdollingDricus du Plessisand securing more than 21 minutes of control time enroute to a unanimous decision win.
Due to a minor foot injury, “Borz” is currently sidelined and will undergo surgery.
Chimaev is yet to make thefirst defense of his middleweight title. However, the 31-year-old already has big plans. Fans are already aware of his desire to move up to light heavyweight to challenge championAlex Pereira. However, “Borz” while discussing his long-term goals in the UFC, recently opined that he is also open to moving up to heavyweight once he potentially captures the 205-pound title. On theJaxxon Podcast, he said:
“[Alex Pereira] never responded. We’ll see if anyone else [is ready to fight]. I just want to become a double champ. Then I can go back to my weight class, or stay there, or go up more. I’m not the guy who is trying to go out of the UFC undefeated. I don’t care. I just want to get some things done.”
