A man was caught on camera fleeing the scene after multiple people were shot near Whittier Boulevard and Leonard Avenue in East Los Angeles. The shooting happened shortly after Mexico was eliminated by England 2-3 in the Round of 16. Four victims were hit, including a woman and a child who were innocent bystanders. Authorities are investigating the incident as gang-related and the suspect remains on the loose.
This is raw, unedited footage from the scene as it was happening. Police helicopters were in the air, unlawful assembly was declared in parts of LA, and officers were actively pushing crowds back while trying to secure the area.
