Shikhar Dhawan tied the knot with Sophie Shine in a private ceremony in Delhi on Saturday (February 21). They were spotted together for the first time during the 2025 Champions Trophy. Dhawan was a regular in India's matches during the ICC event and was often spotted with Shine. They have tied the knot after dating for a year. Yuzvendra Chahal, who shared the dressing room with Dhawan for many years, confirmed the news on social media. Rohit Sharma was also in Delhi to attend Dhawan's wedding. They opened the innings for India for a decade.

Dhawan was earlier married to Aesha Mukherjee. The couple tied the knot in 2012 and separated nine years later. The court granted him a divorce on the grounds of mental cruelty by his ex-wife.

"Right now, my divorce case is going on. Tomorrow, if I want to marry again, I will be much wiser in that field. I'll know what kind of girl I need; someone whom I can spend my life with. When I was 26-27 and I was continuously playing, I was not in any relationship. I used to have fun, but was never in a relationship," he had said in 2023.

A famous social media personality,Sophie Shinehails from Ireland. She holds a degree in Marketing and Management from Limerick Institute of Technology in Ireland. She has also studied at Castleroy College. Shine has been working at the Northern Trust Corporation since 2018.

Shikhar Dhawan had a long career and he played international cricket regularly for nine years. Dhawan made his India debut in an ODI against Australia in 2010. He made a memorable Test debut against the Kangaroos in 2013 and slammed 187 in his maiden outing. He was picked in the 2013 Champions Trophy team as the selectors moved on from seniors. Dhawan piled up 363 runs in only five matches to play a key role in India's title win.

Dhawan became India's go-to batsman in the 50-over ICC tournaments. He scored 412 runs in the 2015 World Cup and followed up with 338 runs in the 2017 Champions Trophy. Dhawan was injured during his 117-run knock against Australia in the 2019 ODI World Cup. He only played 2 matches in the ICC event.

Dhawan remained a member of the ODI team till 2022. He announced his retirement in August 2024. Dhawan scored 2315 runs in 34 Tests, 6793 runs in 167 ODIs and 1759 runsin 68 T20s. He represented Deccan Chargers, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians in IPL.
