Vande Bharat trainforKarnataka:Travelling between Bengaluru and Goa could soon become faster and more comfortable, with a new Vande Bharat Express proposed between Yesvantpur and Madgaon. The new semi-high-speed train will be reportedly maintained and operated by South Western Railway (SWR) zone. At present, on an originating and terminating basis, Karnataka is served by 22 Vande Bharat (11 pairs) train services. Of these, 14 Vande Bharat services either originate from or terminate in the Bengaluru region.

The Bengaluru–Goa Vande Bharat is likely to complete the journey in around 13 hours, making it one of the fastest rail options on this route. According to proposal it will operate six days a week.
The train is expected to run between: Yesvantpur (Bengaluru) and Madgaon (Goa). It will pass through the Mangaluru railway region and use the Padil Bypass, skipping Mangaluru Junction and Mangaluru Central stations to save time.
Though the exact timing for the route is yet to be finalised. According to a report by NDTV, the timings will be as follows:
Departure from Yesvantpur: 6:05 AM
(Official schedule will be announced after Railway Board approval)
The proposal has been submitted to the Railway Board and approval is awaited. Once approved, the service is expected to benefit thousands of travellers heading to Goa’s beaches as well as business travellers commuting between Karnataka and Goa.
