Here's the fact that Chuck Schumer and his Democrat allies are praying you never discover: ICE is already funded through 2029. Four years of funding. Locked in. Done.
So why exactly have Democrats shut down the Department of Homeland Security for six straight days?
The answer should make every American furious.
This isn't about money, folks. It never was. Democrats didn't grind DHS to a halt over some budget disagreement. They did it to ground TSA agents, sideline the Coast Guard, freeze FEMA, and leave you and your family vulnerable to natural disasters and terrorist threats — all so they could manufacture political pain and pin it on President Trump.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the stunt "irresponsible and despicable." Frankly, she was being diplomatic.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem went on national television and laid out the choice in terms so plain that Democrats are still scrambling for a response:
The numbers Noem revealed are staggering. In just twelve months under Trump's renewed leadership, DHS has stopped enough lethal drug doses to have killed 1.7 billion people. Over 1,000 known and suspected terrorists have been arrested. More than 80 Iranian nationals have been apprehended at the border.
And here's the Biden legacy Democrats are desperate to distract you from: an estimated 15 to 20 million unvetted individuals entered this country under the previous regime. That's a gap of 5 million people the government cannot even account for. Five million unknowns walking American streets.
Border Czar Tom Homan is proving what's possible when local leaders choose cooperation over obstruction. He traveled to Tim Walz's Minnesota, sat down with the governor and local officials, and the results speak for themselves — more jails in that state are now cooperating with ICE than ever before.
Here's the math Democrats don't want you to know: One ICE agent can safely process an arrest inside a cooperating jail. Without that cooperation? It takes twelve agents on the street to accomplish the same task.
