In February 2026, two separate mass shootings made the headlines, both of which were perpetrated by gunmen that were born male, but that pretended to be female, dubbed “transgender.”
First: 18 year old Jesse Van Rootselaar carried out a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia on February 10, 2026, reported on at the time bythe New York Post.
Van Rootselaar, 18, murdered his mother, Jennifer Strang, and his 11-year-old stepbrother at their home on Tuesday afternoon before making his way to Tumbler Ridge Secondary School where he gunned down a female teacher and five students between the ages of 12-13, most of them in the library.
Cops said he took his own life at the scene.

Second: 56-year-old father Robert Dorgan, who liked to dress as a woman and called himself Roberta Esposito, shot four family members and a family friend before he turned the gun on himself following the deadly rampage at a Pawtucket, Rhode Island ice rink, on Monday, February 16, 2026 .He killed two people and critically injured three others.
MENTAL ILLNESS SHOULD NOT BE NORMALIZED
In the case of Robert Dogan, shown in the image above obtained byDaily Mail, they report that “A motive remained unclearTuesday morning, but court documents obtained by WPRI show Dorgan had sparred with family members over gender identity issues.”
In the case of Jesse Van Rootselaar, according to authorities it’s “too early to say,” whether there was any connection between his trans identity and the shooting.
