July 3rd, 2026 PASSAIC, New Jersey - A powerful thunderstorm tore through the City of Passaic around 8 p.m. Friday, leaving significant tree damage across town. On Mineral Spring Avenue near the circle, a large tree came down onto a car and blocked the street. Farther up the same street, another tree fell, bringing down a large limb and a power line with it. Many additional trees were reported down throughout the city as the storm moved through the area.
