Residents of New York City are apparently outraged about the prospect of Mayor Zohran Mamdani raising their property taxes to pay for his agenda.
Mamdani promised the moon. Everything was supposed to be free. Now reality is setting in and these folks don’t like it one bit.
Schools really need to do a better job of educating people on basic economics.
Mayor Mamdani’s proposal to increase property taxes angers homeowners in Queens
Residents in Queens were both angry and disappointed Thursday night in reaction to Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s proposal to increase property taxes.
They say he promised affordable housing for his entire campaign and has now made an about face.
“I don’t plan to move. It’s my home. I’m not leaving,” said homeowner Vivian Campbell.
This two-story single-family home in Cambria Heights is Campbell’s American dream come true. His starter home has become his forever home.
“Greatest thing to happen to me,” Campbell said…
“Mayor Zohran Mamdani you, are out your goddamn mind?” said homeowner, James Johnson.
